  1. Does anyone know of a lisan ud dawat font that is supported by Adobe illustrator? I am having the hardest time getting any of the usual fonts to work with Adobe products.

Liking the discussion above. As for the latest development of Windows 8 - just wanted to know why are the old fatemi layout as well as Burhani fonts are not displaying properly in VB6 created programs? Al-Kanz to be precise. the double character technique for che, peh and gaaf is not recognized by VB6 in windows 8, the same as it is not recognized by Adobe photoshop. The interesting fact is that - CHE is recognized and other letters are just - kaaf and kaaf - or - the and the. Please can someone provide any information about this.

  7. Nothing to do with VB6. Windows 8 uses a new unicode processor directwrite for rendering complex scripts. Also, Che only works in the begining of a word, not in between. Che, Pe, Gaaf and Aye are not rendered because directwrite uses a new algorithm for double characters. (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2786400 this MIGHT be a patch to make windows 7 function the same way as windows 8 in this matter)

  8. I tried to use Fatemi lisan-ud-dawat font in word 2013, i works fine, but the letters which are produced by tapping a key twice like hit "kaaf" twice to get "gaaf". it does not work for me. it used to work fine on office 2007, but it doesn't work in office 2013

  9. I'm having the same trouble as Abdullah bhai -- I cannot get double-tap letters to work in Word 2013 with the Fatemi LSD V5 font. Do you know of an updated Fatemi font compatible with Word 2013?
